Initially, I honestly don't think I had a clear vision for this piece. I had a yard of this stunning black French lace I had been dying to use, and started there. After sketching the final idea, it was clear this was fit for a performer! Ironically enough, I was simultaneously in a rabbit hole of ballroom culture--specifically the fem queen performance category. Eventually, I discovered Tati Miyake-Mugler, and it seemed like everything just clicked. Tati's undeniable talent, capturing stage presence, beauty and personality completely shined through and
